I am registered for the 8th World Congress on ADHD which was planned as an on-site event in Prague and now I am planning to participate in the virtual congress. What do I need to do?
Your existing registration will be carried forward. Registration fees are changed into reduced virtual registration fees. If you already paid for your on-site registration, we will refund the respective balance shortly. No further action is required from your side.

Any existing registrations will be carried forward to the virtual congress. But if for any reason, you no longer wish to attend, a reimbursement minus a processing fee of EUR 100 will be made. Please send a respective cancellation e-mail to adhd2021@cpo-hanser.de.
I don't want to miss live sessions. In which time zone will the ADHD congress take place?
The live-congress time zone is the Central European Time (CET). Have a look at the time zone map to find out the exact session times for your location or have a look at the calendar view of the online programme within the virtual congress portal.
How can I get access to the virtual congress?
Necessary conditions:
- you need to be registered for the congress
- your account needs to be activated (account activation e-mail)
- and the congress fee needs to be paid in advance.
You can log in with your e-mail address and a password you assigned for yourself at the congress website in section “My Congress”.
Few days prior to the congress you will find the direct link to the congress portal, the online programme and the virtual exhibition on the homepage of the congress website. Live-streams und on-demand content will only be visible for registered delegates after login.
Are there special technical requirements to access the virtual congress?
You will need a web-connected device with sound. Preferred browsers are Chrome, Edge and Mozilla Firefox (latest versions!). Please make sure you have a stable internet connection.
I have forgotten my login details. What do I have to do?
Your login details consist of your e-mail address and a password you assigned for yourself during registration. If you have forgotten your password, please click on “Reset password”.
I did not receive any login details because I was registered by another person. How can I get access to the virtual congress?
Even if you did not register yourself (group members, invited speakers or chairperson, etc.), you should have received an account activation e-mail to your personal e-mail address with the request to activate your account and to assign a password for yourself.

Can I watch sessions afterwards as an on-demand video recording?
Yes, all sessions (except Educational Seminars & Meet-the-Expert Sessions) will be available on-demand after the congress until 1st August 2021. You will need your e-mail address and your password in order to login.
I also booked an Educational Seminar and/or Meet-the-Expert Session. Can I watch these sessions on-demand afterwards?
Educational Seminars and Meet-the-Expert Sessions are only available during the live congress. Each 60-minute session is composed of one, respectively two lectures and is followed by a discussion. To facilitate coordination, attendance is limited. Registrations are handled on a 'first-come, first-served' basis. Registration fee per session: EUR 50. Only valid in combination with the congress registration fee.
Can I register during the virtual congress once it has already started?
Yes, you can. However, in this case, payment can only be made by credit card.
As soon as we have received the payment you will get access into the congress portal.
What happens if my registration fees are not fully paid?
You will not be able to access the virtual congress. So please make sure to check your account whether your registration is fully paid before the congress starts.
If you did not pay your registration fee yet: Please log in to your account at the congress website www.adhd-congress.org in section “My Congress” with your e-mail address and your password and go to “Bookings”. The outstanding amount needs to be paid by credit card in order to get access into the congress portal.
How do I get access and view sessions given the time zone difference?
All sessions will be recorded and will be available immediately after the live session for on-demand viewing for a period of 3 months (until 1st August 2021) after the congress to registered delegates.
Will I be able to ask questions during a live session?
Yes, the Q&A tool will give you the opportunity to ask your questions directly during live sessions. The chairperson of the session will forward the questions to the respective speaker if possible and time allowing.
Please note that the question-and-answer module is only available during live-sessions.
Virtual Poster Exhibition
What does virtual poster exhibition mean?
In the Virtual Poster Exhibition, you are not only able to see but also to rate and download all accepted posters. Seize the opportunity to ask your questions directly to poster-authors via email.
You can also be a part of the jury during the live congress. You will have the possibility to evaluate each poster with a 1-5 star rating. Audience ratings will be taken into consideration by the poster prize committee. The 6 best posters will be awarded after the congress.
Can I still visit the Virtual Poster Exhibition after the virtual congress?
Yes, all posters will be available on-demand after the congress until 1st August 2021. You will need your e-mail address and your password in order to log in.
For Invited Speakers and Chairs
I did not receive any login details because I did not register by myself. How can I get access to the virtual congress?
If you did not register by yourself should have received an account activation e-mail to your e-mail address with the request to activate your account and to assign a password for yourself.

As an invited speaker or chair, do I need to register via the website?
No, you don’t have to register via the website. You have already been registered free of charge by the Congress Office. You have received an e-mail prior to the congress to activate your account and participate online.
Can I present live rather than pre-record my presentation?
Live presentations will unfortunately not be possible. All presentations need to be pre-recorded. Self-recordings need to be provided ahead of time.
CME Accreditation / Certificate of Attendance
Will the virtual ADHD congress be CME accredited?
Yes, the 8th World Congress on ADHD (live streaming) has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 21 European CME credits (ECMEC®s).
Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. More detailed information can be found here.
I will need a CME certificate and/or certificate of attendance. How can I get one?
Starting 12 May 2021, a link for “CME Certificate and/or Certificate of Attendance” will be visible on the website. Please evaluate the virtual ADHD congress first by completing the questionnaire. Afterwards you will be able to download your certificate in your personal congress account “My Congress”.
Are there any industry symposia planned during this congress?
Yes, the industry will present their new findings and products in the field of ADHD.

Industry symposia do not belong to the scientific programme. CME points cannot be obtained for sessions sponsored by the industry.
Will it be possible to watch industry symposia also after the congress?
Yes, registered participants will be able to watch industry symposia on-demand, too.

Do I need to pay an additional fee to visit the Virtual Industry Exhibition?
No, the Virtual Industry Exhibition can be visited free of charge after identification. After the congress, your data will be forwarded to the exhibitors.
