8 May: Public Holiday

8 May is a public holiday in the Czech Republic known as "Victory Day" (Den vítězství). Many (mostly larger) shops will be closed on that day or have shorter opening hours and public transportation may also operate on a holiday schedule. We recommend planning accordingly.

Weather

May in Prague offers mild and pleasant spring weather. Temperatures typically range between 10°C (50°F) in the mornings and 20°C (68°F) during the day. Expect a mix of sunny days and occasional rain showers.
